Recently fitted a new Safari Tuff but now my pedal is to short .
start lifting your foot and your off and running.
Very off putting, nothing to play with like there should be.
ohh it's In a Maverick TB42
Already kitted the Master cyl no better, slave only 18 mths old.
By chance my brother inlaw called in just as I reinstalled the now Re-kitted booster.
(To show off his new Ford Ranger).
he's a retired petrol & diesel mech.
Yep he's struck similar trouble in the past.
Humm, some times you can adjust thrust arm pivot to fix.
Said, Don't' think we can do that, or the slave rod either, not adjustable.
Got him to jump in, mtr not running and he said yep not enough input stroke.
ya can feel it's only working at the very bottom.
We discussed it for a while and both agreed
Booster standard input rod length is to short,
That is, for a after-market clutch that is proberly using a different fulcrum setup than a standard clutch.
I told him the booster input to clutch pedal is adjustable so I'll have a play with that.
Had Just set it to manuals spec of 130mm.
And reckon max 6 mm more left in it to go.
what if I go to far, he said you will feel the end of stroke.
If that happens just back off a little, & not to worry.
So I gave it a tweak 1 turn felt better but still bottom endish.
wound prob 2-3 full turns more and.
Clutch now feels like it should.
The safari tuff is a more direct engagement, but the pedal is where it should be.
Fixed.
Thanks to Jeff.
