Shaun,

It looks like the belt tensioner pulley.

I carry a spare with me and a spare belt, and I think it was just over $300.

I would presume that you would prefer to get it fixed fast, and although I am still awaiting final confirmation, I am coming over to Perth at the latest Tuesday 27th for a few days and could bring one with me...

Thanks guys.

Mic. Thanks heaps for your offer but yes need it fixed ASAP as its my sole means of transportation and need it for work.

Will take it to my mechanic Monday and get them to sort it.

So is genuine the best way to go with replacing these two thing then?

I bought genuine ones, and I think it will be the fastest way for you to get back on the road.

Not that I heard as I was doing 110 down the highway.
Couldn't hear much over the muddies and stereo.

Did it get hot?

Did you drive it home?

Did notice it getting hot. Just the oil temp light.
I got it towed home to be safe. Plus the pulley that has broken off is still sitting in there and hitting the engine fan

Good stuff, sounds like it will all be OK

G'day mate,
just curious, how many K's you done before she bust?
Haven't come across it before myself and hadn't even thought of it as a potential Tensioner pulley problem.

It's just over 165ks on the clock.

I think most belts are about 100k service intervals, plus good time to replace the tensioner.

I don't know when it was replaced last. I've only had it for 10k.
