The rb30 was slow enough in a GQ let alone a rb25 in a gu. Unless its turbo with a bit of go it might be ok but I'm not sure it would be a great daily.

Its a rb25det with a front mount and what not. It wouldnt be slow. And a better dailey then a tb42 and everyone drives them. Its got a 2 inch lift so my 36 swampers would fit nice. Lockers and beadlocks and it would be finished haha.

What engine in the 98.? A TB45, an RD28 or a TD42?

It is still a vehicle with an engine that wasn't made for the vehicle.
It affects everything from resale, servicing, parts, reliability.....
Not sure if I would swap, and if it is so good, I'm not sure why the other guy would swap.

The question is WHY
Whats so special about your GQ (with it not running), why does he want to get rid of the GU - that's had a lot of $$$ and work spent on it?

The fact that it was stock with an rb25 and mines far from stock and only need plumbing up. Which i will be doing now and keeping. Too much shed time and money to get rid of it before i hear the turbos spooling. Build up will be getting updated asap. And i havnt even used my tyres yet. What was i thinking haha cheers guys!
