Will a TPS for a 10/91-10/94 Nissan Patrol Y60 4.2L Carb TB42S Automatic fit/suit an 89 Nissan Patrol Y60 4.2L Carb TB42S Automatic they look identical and there is no reference to any changes in the models in the manual between a 89 model and a 91-94 carby model

Thanks

Yep carby models have a TPS. It send information to the tcu (transmission control unit).
As for the op, I think the plugs may be different? If it fits on then give it a try. Adjust it slightly left it right to get the gears changing correctly.

Is yours an efi or carby? I have the carby model. Hopefully someone with an efi will see this and post a pic

Looking at the pics on ebay and looking at the tps in my hand they look identical, but apparently have different part numbers, Mr nissan tried ordering one for me from Japan but there sare none, got to wait for some to be made.... so no ETA can be given.....
