Hi, I have a 1999 Patrol that i love. I have horses and live on a farm so use my 4x4 all the time for towing and general farm use. I try and keep it in good running order but have hit a bit of a problem. If i run it out of petrol(it's dual fuel) totally and then fill it back up again straight away will it definitely kill the fuel pump? Is there something i can do to test it? It runs fine on gas but after running it dry yesterday won't run on petrol. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Sabina and welcome, should try to avoid running any tank dry, because of all crud in the bottom of the tank.
I think you have what I call an air lock, change it back to petrol a few times whilst driving, Its hard to get any dual fuel vehicle
right on both fuels so one suffers .See how that goes
