I remember seeing an iguana attack and bite the head of a small boa constrictor, at the same time the boa managed to wrap the iguana. Both ended killing each other in the process.

G'day,

It looked as though the body of the snake felt the bite, but how could it without the head attached?

This really reasuring:
"American copperheads are not closely related to the Australian genus, which grow up to six feet long but are only moderately toxic by local standards."
Local standards!!! Brown snakes? I suppose that might just be a bit helpful if you get bitten.

Last Brown I saw went through the lawn mower. Not sure where the bits went.

Ok i live in a place where Browns seem to hang out.

I think they breed under my house, only ever seen / killed small ones, would really like to know where the adult ones are hiding!

Crazy stuff. It's amazing how the body lives within input from the brain..

When I was in Wyndham my aunt chopped the head off a black whip snake that made its way inside the house with a spade. The head kept on snapping away and the tail all 5 feet of it wrapped itself up the handle and gripped it so tightly we had to cut up the body into sections to get it off after it stopped moving.

Was amazing to see first had

That's pretty freaky but it is just the nerves that would still been going. Goes to show that even after you have killed a snake you still have to be careful. I used to know a bloke in Perth that worked on barrow island (just off shore) on a oil rig. They caught this shark and left it on the deck for at least Half a day (4 or so hrs), then decided to go and get some pics next to it. Well needless to say it was still kicking and spun round and grabbed the one bloke by his leg. Luckily didn't loose it but apparently it did not look pretty after.

Nice pussy....

Wouldn't need to eat for a while after a feed like that

One hell of a snake to have on the verandah. Give you a hell of a freight to walk under it just sitting there.
