Got my noo lights from Mick earlier this week. It has these led angel eyes in them and they come on when I switch on my parkers, and stay on when I put the headlights on. I want them to go off when I switch over to headlights. I could just put them on their own switch but I don't want to add any more switch in the cab, I got too many now. Any possible way to do this for a pleb like me?:icon_bonk:
Thanks.

You can do it with a change over 5 pin relay (one with an 87a pin) and 2 blocking diodes.
Connect the park light feed to pin 30 of the relay.
Your angel eyes to pin 87a.
Pin 85 to earth.
Find both the low and high beam feeds (from the unused original H4 plug will do). Fit a diode in both of these wires with the band of the diode closest to the relay and then connect both to terminal 86 of the relay.
Pin 87 of the relay is not used.

Jebus! Are a auto sparkie mate! Or just a walking book of auto electrical knowledge? Is there anything you don't know? Thanks. Seriously...
As for the blocking diodes, I assume Jaycar would sell these? And they are just called a blocking diode?

Yeah you can get them from Jaycar. They are just called diodes, blocking is how they are being used in this application.
They are preventing the high and low beams from coming on together when you connect them to pin 86.
You will have to post some pics up. I installed a set of Mick's HIDs in a Mazda 3 awesome light.

Ok. all hooked but the angel eyes now, don't come on when I turn the parkers on but come on with the head lights. Its needs to be the other way around. I have gone over everything and its all correct. Where have I gone wrong? The diodes I bought have IN5404 MIC written on them. I have noticed in the Narva catalogue there is two types on change over relays. Resister and diode protection. The one that I got I don't know what it is as I got it from a auto electrical wholesaler as it had no packaging. Not sure if this makes a difference or not.
Do I need to sway over pins 30 and 86? Would this make it opposite to what it is now?
Cheers.

Did you use a change over relay? Does it have an 87a and a 87 terminal? Did you connect your angel eyes to the 87a terminal?. It sounds like you have connected them to the 87 terminal.
What's written on the relay, a change over relay should have something like 20/30a written on it.

All connected right, angel eyes to the centre terminal. But I just had another look at the relay. There is 87 and 87, not 87 and 87A. Looks like I was given the wrong one?

You have the wrong relay, you need one with the 87a.

Not done yet matee. Plus my car hasn't been washed in ages too. It needs a good bath first...
Rodney, I picked up a Narva 68044 c/o relay, resistor type. 40/30amp. Thats all I could get. Will the resistor type work?

That one will work fine.
