Intercoolers, there are many top mount options.
A.R.E Cooling intercooler and scoop option.
Cross Country intercoolers.
ASE intercoolers
Just to name a few. There are many more.
Personal message Threedogs about his intercooler, as I can't remember where he got his from ( it was a cheaper option from some of the top brands) and he is very pleased .
As for the turbo upgrades you might want to do a search on turbos and intercooler as many of our Patrologists have done these upgrades.
Try the search function first, you should get plenty of info.

What fuel lump are you running? If it's standard then I have the same pump running a Garrett GTX2863 turbo and last weekend I put on a Cross Country top mount intercooler. I have not cut the hole for the bonnet scoop or had it tuned yet so I can't really comment but it seems very good so far. Will let you know next Tuesday!

Got sick of Motorculture so gone back to Tappa

Ive been doing some reading on this forum which has led me to the air to liquid intercoolers. love the technology and seems like the best solution with the least amount of work for the TD42t so i'm going to fix this type of intercooler from frozenboost.com. its very cost effective as well, check it out when you can

Hey Winnie, sorry missed your question. i have the standard pump which is a Zexel and the standard turbo. i am going for the ar to liquid intercooler from frozenboost.com. lets see how it works. hows your intercooler working. if you havent cut a scoop on the bonnet i think u should if not the intercooler will be very ineffective, get as much cool air on that radiator . cheers

Hi VMax
There is no link as such . I bought a second hand top mount genuine factory Nissan intercooler . It was off a 2006 Tdi 4.2 and I just bolted it straight onto my 2001 Td 4.2 . Everything changed straight over no probs . Took half an hour to fit . Bonnet took longer . I paid $500 but have since seen much cheaper ( typical ! )

Sorry for the dumb question. But how much difference in everyday driving does the intercooler make. I have a 4.2td 02. Should I be considering this ?

Cheers.

Marty.

Hello Again its On !!!!! :sterb003:

Thanks for all your guidance and advise, ive got the frozenboost kit fixed on the Nissan and its doing really well.
Fixing it was pretty straight forward, all we had to fabricate were the air pipes in and out of the turbo, brackets for the intercooler and brackets for the radiator and pump. we also added a cold air intake system which sorts out the headache of changing air filters. I havent put it on the dyno and get accurate feedback as yet but it feels awesome.

i am waiting for the TPS to arrive as the present one is misbehaving. as soon as this arrives i will put it on the dyno and give you full details.
i must say that the Frozenboost guys are friendly and efficient, also great value for money with quality stuff so if anyone is looking to fit an intercooler these guys are highly recommend.
