I want to change all my oils (engine, diffs, gearbox, transfer case) plus filters and coolant for piece of mind. The guy i bought it from said he was using Caltex Delo in the engine from a search i did on this site the Delo seems popular. What should i use else where? It is a td42 that's had a DTS turbo kit put on and an intercooler. Would it have a LSD in the rear end? Did all 4.2's have them or should i just jack it up and spin the wheels to check? Thanks in advance Cheers Richard

Gday Richard, welcome aboard mate.
There's plenty of info about oils etc around the place. Have a search with the search bar top right if screen (when on pc).
All patrols have a rear LSD.
You north or south tas?

Hi taslucas, i'll keep looking, this place is a gold mine of info, just need to find the right stuff. I thought they may all have LSD in the rear , just thought i would check. I'm near Launceston mate. Been wanting a 4wd for long time and am looking forward to heading you over to the west at some stage once i'm set up. I have wanted to check out the Arthur-Pieman area for years. Judging from your location your over that way? Have you been down there much?

Yeah I'm near wynyard. I've only been past the Arthur twice and was riding with a mate. If you go that way, be very very prepared!! It's can be as insane as people say!.
I mainly just do day trips and hit the tracks around here.
Have a look in the videos section for "Arthur river creek crossing" or something like that. I'll post a link when I get back to my laptop

Thanks for the welcome guys, looks like a great forum.
Taslucas i hear what your saying about being prepared, have heard it can be a bit full on at times. I have a few mates with 4x4's so when i go it will be part of a group. I'll wait till i have a bit more experience under my belt before i go west though. The creek crossing video was cool, thanks for the link.
Cheers Richard.
