Guys I was wanting to know how you go about setting up the tps properly in my efi gq... when I was having trouble with it and sorted it I never set it.. I just wacked it in and adjusted it till the idle felt right, this was nearly 8 months ago.

Now the car is idling high and I got told a number of times to set up the tps then muck around with the idle via the proper adjustment for the petrol and gas?????

I think the tps is set by determining the amount of resistance and setting to the correct resistance for idle?

Clean your MAF sensor

Disconnect the battery for at least half an hour and check all earth straps.

Do you have a consult cable? This makes setting the tps easy. At idle it should register a voltage of about .4 volts. Might be able to back probe with a multimeter, but not I'm not entirely sure which pins to use.

Just a cable to plug a laptop up to your truck and using certain software you can monitor engine parameters and stuff like that.

No idea then. Did the file save to your computer? Is it a PC or a mac? It doesn't need installing, it's just a single file that opens when double clicked. Don't know what your computer is doing so can't help you there.
