Busted intercooler

Happened to notice some oil staining to the top of my intercooler this week when I was replacing my wiper pivots so I decided to take it off and have a look. She was stuffed alright !!

Hitech in archerfield do an exchange larger core for $550 and had one ready for me so put it in today to get to and from work but need to get in and clean all the oil off.

Any tips on getting the sludge from the top of the engine???

Weird eh as that looks like a pic of my motor, great ICs BTW.
First scrape as much as possible off ,then soften with spray de greaser Place plasic bags over any open hose ends
I found my EGTs were more constant and motor way zippier
