Short answer - Absolutely! You can certainly make anything fit mate and plenty of guys have. Take some measurements of the width of your car and hunt around and you will find something that will fit the space nicely without the cost.

Anyone got any pics of their home made cargo barriers and how they attach please?

Something i`m looking into making, a few different ideas would be helpful.

Just read that mate, given me a couple of ideas, thanks fella.

Got some basic home made drawers, ok for me. I sleep in the back of the car so need the barrier to be easily moved.

One bloke here made a limo style window for his. Actuator moves the plexiglass up and down as he carries long stuff in his wagon. May be the solution for you to..

Ive still got my old barrier at home (brisbane southside), its actually out of a mitsubishi as i wanted a barrier with a access window/door, but it fits really well in a GU wagon, id be happy to get $100 for it, its been sitting around for a while so will need a clean up, i can take current pics if anyone is interested ?

This is what it looked like in my GU before i took it out.....

I had a full persplex one I made from a TAB counter facia, was a ripper 10mm thick,
But 4OFF has a simple design, that would work well.
@ Fractser who can sleep in a Patrol, must be very uncomfortable I don't fit wish I did

I`m thinking about plexi glass or a wire barrier that is hinged at the top and clips up to the roof when I don`t need it there.

It isn`t the Hilton, but when needs must I sleep ok in it.
