Having a few scares with this car over the last few weeks.
The morning I picked up the car after exhaust job, I was standing behind it when someone else revved it and a patch of water was blown to the ground. I put this down to condensation from overnight as car was not warmed up.
Haven't paid much attention to this ever since, yesterday I had 15 minute drive, about 10km, so the engine definitely warmed up. Or was it ? When I got home, I revved it a bit again, and the same thing happened a bit of water was seeping out of the exhaust and was blown to the ground.
Car isn't loosing coolant or overheating as far as I can tell. I don't believe this was happening with original exhaust, even on coldest morning. Water isn't green like coolant, but would it be if it was leaking from the head and blown out the exhaust ?

I wonder if the old exhaust was just a better "water trap" then the new one, probly had more bends, more (bigger) mufflers with heaps of sound absorbing matting to soak up water ?

The bigger DIA pipe may take longer to heat up as it wont trap as much heat, take it for a good strap down the freeway, pull up as you get off the main road and get someone to have a look for water then ?

The other thing though is I noticed water wednesday morning, and yesterday afternoon. Both times, the car didn't really get a proper drive out of it. Thursday however, the car was given a flogging on the dyno and on the road for good few hours, so she definitely warmed up then, and a few people were around the car during that time and I don't think anybody noticed any water.

Cut the top off a coke bottle to make a funnel and stick the cap end into the top of the radiator filler. Use electrical tape and wrap this around the opening as best as you can to seal it and fill the funnel with demineralised water. Start the car and watch for bubbles. It's also a good method of bleeding the cooling system. If you have consistent bubbling, then you have something to worry about. If not, then all is good.:)
