hi i have a 01 st 4.2 cab chas ute if i leave it for 2 weeks with out starting the main battery goes flat have moved radios and acc to 2nd battery and still it happens have 2 new battery's in have a constant load of about 1 amp draw on the main battery have pulled all fuses one by one only changes .01 of an amp where to look or what is normal thanks for looking

Yendor will be your man on this, but I would say check for bad earth on your starter motor.

I`m sure that I read ,on here, of a similar problem. I recall that the ALT was the problem.
As above though, Yendor will have the answer and sure knows a helluva lot more about it than I do. But if you have pulled all the fuses and still get current draw, then I think YNOT is correct.

When changing things to fault find, do one thing at a time ,cause if you do two or more things at once and you fix it,
you'll never know what fixed it, M2cW

If you've pulled all the fuses and the current drain is still there it could be a faulty alternator, I've had it on one of my Patrols. Quick test is to disconnect the alternator and see if the current drawer remains..

In dumb speak for me, I'm curious on how the alternator would be draining power ?

Internals are polling are [touching}From battery through the alternator to frome where ever

found the problem last owner had wired the pyro gauge up too permanent 12volt power instead of switched have owned it for about 10 months and has bugged me the hole time but i love the ute

Also diodes can breakdown, allowing current to seep back through them.
