Putting something ELSE in a ZD30 powered GU?

Hi, I've seen that alot of ZD30 powered GU Patrol's tend to come up cheaply due to the engine blowing up. I'm just wondering, if I get one of these cars, how cheap and easy is it gonna be to convert it to take some other type of engine? I wouldn't mind fitting a Ford V8 or something even. What about the factory 4.2 motors? do they go in fairly easy?
