Rear Doors not unlocking

G'day fellow Patrol'rs, My name is Joe and I have a 2005 GU. I had to change the battery in the truck a few weeks back as it ran dead flat (hadn't been used in a while). now I can't open the rear doors at all(door latch won't release) and the front drivers master locking switch does not function. the central locking or keyless remote entry doesn't work at all. the only way to get into the beast is to use the key which can be rather annoying, especially when the kids have to climb in over the seats. Hope someone has been able to overcome this sort of thing in the past. (checked all fuses, all ok)
