Picked up a 09 dx ex-mining vehicle and am in the process of unwiring the car management system from car. Holy shit so many wires and components. Well the indicators stopped working (think cause hazards are unplugged) but the clusters gone and turbo not kicking in(Limp mode?) no blown fuses which is strange. Going to check for voltages around the place, maybe unwiring has caused a disconnection. Anyway great info on site so far. See you out in the mud soon hopefully.

Years ago with our paddock bikes to lighten them , we removed all things not required. easy
Remove head light and start cutting wires with motor going, if motor stopped that wire was re-joined.

Ha nice. Where I'm at now is management system removed and new stereo installed. Think I shorted something playing around- no speedo, odometer, fuel gauge etc. the indicators come up and high beam though. Seems to go into limp mode after about 200 m too. Thoughts?

Dis connect battery for 30 mins, give the MAF a clean, A dirty MAF causes heaps of problems,
MAF cleaner available at SCA just make sure its dry before you reinstall and don't touch with fingers
Take it its a common rail? Check all vacuum hoses to turbo as well

Your indicators will not work if the hazard switch is disconnected.

Thanks for the help. It's going in the too hard basket. Got a guy coming round to check it out. Will let you know whether to recommend him or not.
