diff ratios?

hey guys jsut trying to get some help with some ratios, on the hunt for some new diffs as i smashed mine a bit too hard an now it has a leak and a bit noisy. looking at doing straight swap in and out but not sure on ratio? have 4.1 in but have been offered 3.9 front and rear for $250. is it worth dropping down or holding out and maybe freighting up a set of 4.1 or 4.3 to brissy? running a td42 will be going to min 33's? opinion at all?

I assume you have smashed the housings too yeah? Or are you just chasing diff centers?

i smashed right where the tailshaft meets the diff and busted that seal, whines when accelerating and growls when coming off, i was thinking chasing some centres n bolting them in?

Yeah no probs. then either just chase another rear second hand and bolt it in.

GU diff centers bolt straight in mate so look around. You might find some low kms ones around.

Watch out that some GUs came out with a H260 rear diff which is much bigger.
