Slimline 'look' better, but I reckon the standard would 'work' better. Also all the slimline ones I've seen are tinted & I'd prefer clear.

I had full size ones on my old XTrail.... Hated them, sure they kept the rain out with your window open but they also restricted the amount of air coming in through the window. They also make it very hard to clamber out of your car window Dukes of Hazard stylie

Well ah sure ain't a'plannin ta be a'copyin' them thar Duke boys, an bein' able ta drive with tha window down without ma hair blowin'in ma face is tha aim. Gettin' a haircut is more expensive before ya suggest it. Once cut, ya hafta keep gettin' it cut! Lol.
Did the full size ones affect your vision much? (Only when driving of course!).

My slimline have only a mild smoke tint, but when the sun is high and beating down I just wished I'd painted them before sticking them on. I also have dark legal window tint
As for those STD weather shields, some ppl see the need to stick their head out the window when reversing, and if your head is big it may cause problems. lol

I wasn't planning on doing it either but had no choice when I got stuck in a bog hole, couldn't open the doors so window was he only option lol..........
And as far as affecting vision..... I don't remember there being any problems, I didn't run anyone over or side swipe anyone, so must have been OK

Thanks folks, not intending on driving into bog holes, & reversing won't be an issue as the pod sticks out wider than what the weathershields would.

I ended up cutting them down a little,{std} but I like to spray paint under the top edge it really does help in hot weather,
If not prepared to spray try grey duct tape first, trust me it'll feel heaps better and no loss of vision. Only tape over top
if you're going to give it a go.

Had full size ones on other 4x4 and don't think I ever drove with the window closed, loved them.
The ones now are basically just a 50mm strip, not sure they do anything either
