Once you take into account the cost of postage the price is exactly the same as their eBay price with 'free' postage.

This one is a whole 76 cents cheaper!

Think I'll buy one. The tool I made is ok for adjusting existing bearings, but not sure if it would be strong enough to do the initial tighten (then release) on new bearings.

Enpee and Cuppa, g'day
this is a strange start to a thread,,,,,,'much cheaper than ebay'. What is?
Guessing a socket for the front hub.
OH BABY. if only I'd thought to look it up on ebay. Anything up to about a grand would have saved a lot of time and fritzing around.
Made mine by scrounging a bit of steel tube roughly the right diameter, grinding out a notch on opposite sides of one end, welding a short length of rod into the notches, then welding a flat bar across the other end plus a 1/2 inch nut in the centre.
Works a treat but it was a lot on buggerizing around. Strewth, less than 20 bucks plus postage, I'm in love.
By the way Cuppa, if you stick yours in the bench vise and give it the full torque, you'll pretty soon see if your homey is a goer or not. No vehicle damage or doubts involved that way.
Are we having fun?

Errr, yeah I can... :) Life's not simple I know, but a pin punch works just aswell.
Reminds me I have to order new hub seals and lock ring screws too. I crossed the Howqua river four times over the weekend and I had water in my bearings.

just recieved one in the mail last week from ebay...then seen them in the local tool shop..was 22.90 (free postage) 1/2 inch drive from ebay....it turned up as a 3/8 drive !...I let them know and they said that everyone they have there is 1/2 " drive and they dont have 3/8 drive !..I offered to send photos of it and now it is going back to them and a refund coming as agreed...so now to the local tool store to get one from there...hang the cost if it is more..they look stronger than the ebay one and no waiting time and no mistakes...sometimes it is just better to give ebay a miss for just minor dollars ..hahahahahahaha

I checked my home made wheel bearing adjustment tool in the vice as suggested by Col.T. & found it strong enough so wont need to buy one off ebay. A good way to recycle a shaft from one of the Patrol bonnet struts I replaced.
