Hey people thought id show you my ute
Brought it 3 months ago
92 gq coil cab (hothouse green)
4.2 diesel
bullbar
hid spotties
2 inch kingsprings (sagged and shit)
uhf
snorkel
dual batteries
extractors+exhaust+k&n filter
heavy duty clutch
33 inch tyres
135 litre tank
thats about it for now.
When i brought it it had 35 inch muddies which were noisy and scrubbed and i hated so within days i put on a set of 33 inch falken wildpeak ats which i absolutely love and highly reccomend!!!
Also put a new radiator in as it got a bit hot aswell as a general service and buff/polish/degrease as it was in a bit of a sorry state when purchased.
Car has been stripped a few years back so the cab/engine/box has done about 300k but chassis has 560. New bigger steel tray got put on (2.4 x1.9) aswell as a canvas canopy which zips up and closes very handy for rolling a swag out in and staying dry and warm.
I chucked a 2.5 inch manta system on it a week after purchase as old exhaust was an absolute mess! Gives a decent note (not too loud but not to quiet) and seems to have given a bit more power.
Since all that iv just driven it alot done a fair bit of beach/dune driving with the odd mud/clay run seems to go very well on the soft stuff and has proved nothing but relaible, runs extremely well.
I have ordered a full 2 inch dobinson kit including shocks springs and steering dampener which should be here this week, can't wait to chuck it on as current suspension is flogged out (hoping it will give bit more lift) and if anyone has experience with dobinson stuff let me know your opinions as im not overly familiar with it.Only went 2 inches as i like to keep things legal and i see 2 inch and 33s for what i do pretty adequete as much as more lift would have been nice. I live on the south coast of wa so i am blessed with amazing fishing 4wding and scenery.
Future plans for the car are to fit the suspension, tint the windows and cut out the rust (there is only one very small patch above drivers door respray was done to a high standard).
Other than that maybe much later a front locker and turbo kit but no time soon.
Opinions and feedback appreciated.
Ps the gold 4runner my first fourby i had, loved it sunk alot of cash into it only to get defected. Rust in peace old girl.

I was running 4inch Dobinson coils with Rancho shocks on my GQ and could not fault the coils, hopefully they will be going back in there soon :)

Love that colour, looks great. Even the 4walker looked alright for a Toymota

So the suspension went in today, has lifted it a little bit not a great deal but has alot more travel and is fair bit smoother, still have fair few little things i need to fix up on the car but nothing huge or expensive but the main thing is it's running great.
Heres some new pics with the suspension in

Okay so im trying to get this car so im 100% happy with it, and in the last few weeks (after putting suspension in) have done front wheel bearings, swivel hubs (were leaking badly), set of new injectors, then we discovered the front trailing arms are absolute rooted so replaced them plus added nolathane bushes, aswell as new nolathanes in rear trailing arms, aswell as put some swaybars in as it never had any. And thats about where im at now, which means i can use it for what i intended with some peace of mind, and as is compared to a few weeks ago its a totally different car no bodyroll alot smoother no knocks or anything its a pleasure to drive. To do list now is fix a small diesel leak (hoping i don't have to replace injector pump), tint the windows and put a good stereo system in. Got alot of ks planned with hopefully some decent offroading inbetween as of next weekend but im pretty happy now and going to take her for a good run up the beach this weekend!!!!
