There is such a thing. A Ti might be a little harder to come by so maybe an ST or DX variant. These are basically what sort of options they will have.

Unless your referring the later model 4.2 which came from factory as a intercooled turbo and are generally described on the net as a TD42Ti

The last of the 4.2's only went to 2006 anything after that will be crd 3.0.

From 99 on they made the 4.2 available with a turbo, then in late 03 they added an intercooler and unfortunately they stopped production of the might td42 at the end of 06.

The easiest to find will be an ST with the TD42 turbo in. I'm not 100% sure the 4.2 came available in a TI, if they did they are very rare.

Also 4.2 GU wagons are pricey and generally get snapped up pretty quick.

Would Any One Know If An Engine Change Over Is Possible To Create My Desired Vehicle ??

Yes it's possible but unless your very handy with the tools it will be cheaper and pose far less hassles to buy a factory 4.2.

pretty much yes Fossell

if your lucky, you can find the ST-L 4.2, has the leather interior - but expect upwards of the $60K mark in good condition (and rare as when on the Market)
the ST-S had the velour interior, they are slightly more common (than hens teeth) and usually around the $50K in good condition

both of these spec's were 2005-2006
ALSO the 4.2 Diesel in the GU's NEVER came with an Auto, apart from the early GQ's or the Imported GQ's the diesel 4.2 were ALL manual

you can pick up earlier ones, with the high Kms to go with them - lowest Ive seen was $15K most expensive was $40K
just depends on how old / how many Kms / what extras etc

pick of the bunch is the 2006 GU ST-L TD42Ti
however the most common is either the Utes or the DX (base Model)

cheers

You will find this will not be legal due to emission standards, emissions were the same reason the 4.2 is no longer produced.

The later CRD 3.0 patrols aren't that bad and do not have the issues the earlier 3.0 patrols did. You could get a late model Ti probably cheaper than you will find a 4.2 turbo wagon.

I have seen a 1999 GU Ti 4.2 auto for sale but it was in NZ. Not sure how you will go with importing it but they are out there, as newby said Nissan stopped producing the 4.2 because they couldn't comply with emissions so doing a transplant with a '06 engine to a '08 car will be extremely difficult.

Unfortunately gu TI did not come in 4.2 diesel. The closest thing to it will be the last of the ST-L but misses out on some of the goodies.
