Full of info mate..... do you know anything about what you want??

You can go a budget set up with a basic isolator for less than $100 and then it the wire battery tray/holder and the battery itself.

Not hard to do yourself..??

I'm still a big fan of Piranha's....http://www.piranhaoffroad.com.au/product/dual-battery-management/management-systems

I know they cost a bit more than others but their knowledge and service is second to none. I actually had a fault with mine last year and they replaced the unit and even rewired the whole set up for me using their own time and materials at no charge because they just didn't like my wiring....LMAO.

Yea if your looking for a basic start
$130 isolator solinode, red arc, projector, anything.. look around as you will find some places throw in terminals and the jump start setup for free..

$120 for the tray, arb is a good one. Or make your own, quite easy.

Grab yourself some welding earth wire, 26mm2 is good for 400A so cranking is not an issue.. $9 a meter from any good welding store (blackwoods) I used 3mtrs.

Cut your lengths and get it crimped, professional jobs are worth it when talking big amps..

And a nice deep cycle battery, $150 ish..

I would run winch off a decent cranking battery mate. Leave the deep cycle for fridge and accessories.

As AB has said the better the gear the better the job done and better after sales service.

This is an item you depend on when going away to some remote places so you need it to work!!

Most winch of the main battery and have the car running while winching out.
So don't be afraid to get deep cycle.

But to do it cheaper, hit up truck depo's or industrial workshops (cat, Volvo etc) as they change batteries at first sign of a dud battery, might be Syd for them but fine for us.. they usually give them away so it doesn't matter if only lasts 12 months Ay...

Im waiting for my Redarc BCDC1225 to charge my y.top Optima as my aux batt. My Safari runs on 24v so ive choosed to set up a 12v aux batt and run 12v goodies from it including a 60ltr fridge. Cost me 500+ for the charger and hope to see good future with it..never heard bad things about their products.

When running those LiFe batteries a dc-dc charger is a must as they are a different voltage and need monitoring.

So this is where you need to plan. As you may pop a $500 battery in a week is setup wrong.

I have an ARB tray in mine and a Redarc smart start unit. Wired it in myself.
Do the job properly and you can save plenty of $$.
I run a marine battery as my second because it is better suited for my setup and it would be rare to spend more than 24 hrs in the one place without going for a drive and charging the battery.
As others have said, don't exclusively use your second battery for the winch, especially if it is a deep cycle. Hook it up to the cranking battery, but you can set it up that you join both in parallel for a bit of extra grunt if needed when winching.
This is quite a good link to get a basic understanding of what some of your options are:

Try and leave your start battery for just that Starting, Even hot wire
your radio to your Aux so you don't compromise your start battery.
Redarc is a great unit, and Aussie made
