rb30 alternator wiring troubles. which wire goes where?

Hi guys, I have recently had some dramas with the alternator for the troll. She packed it in, and after having two alternators sent down that were new and neither fitted i settled for a second hand one out of a skyline.
I had an auto electricial change the plugs and pulley over for me, but after nearly 2 weeks, and my brother actually undid the wiring im not sure on how the wiring goes on the new one.

The one on the left is the new alternator, the right is the original

I need to know is the little black box on the left one the same as the little rounded unit on the right, and if not were do i attach it?

and then there are these two wires one with a plastic cover and the other just a ring terminal, where do these go ??

Round and square thingies look like suppressors/condensers to me,
One of those wires should go to pos+ on battery and to a bolt on the rear of alternator.
Ill check manual

i have the positive battery wire and the sensor light ones marked, thats all i know, the other two im really not sure where they go. they went to the back of the alternotor somewhere

the bolt on the rear of the alternator is usually a pos+ post. I take it you have GQ?

Smart bloke your brother doing a bosch conversion, the voltage reg on OE alternators are normally $80 plus.
A bosch unit is about $20, don't tell him though lol
