Hi I replaced all my barrel locks yesterday after some mongrel put a screwdriver in the drivers lock, and found that NIssan use snap bolts to secure the ignition barrel.after weighing up the situation I drilled a 1/16th hole off to the side of the exposed head remnants and tapped the mounting top and bottom with a small hammer. this easily freed up the bolts and by putting a small driver into the rim of the drilled hole span the bolts out. Refitting the bolts I cut a slot across the centers and screwed them up. I hope that this thread is of some use to someone.:xxxx:

The ef ford locks are similar - I drilled a small hole and then used a small cold chisel to knock the bolt around to undo it.

When my MK was knocked off, the mongrels used a screwdriver down the barell as well.

The GQ & MK locks are the same -

I was able to remove mine with a small cold chisel and a hammer they weren't even tight. so I replaced mine with Allen head bolts.
didn't think the so called security bolts were worth it.
