Guys
just wondering if i can convert the Wagon to LPG (ive read that its just a 30L gas tank at the bottom for the main diesel tank) if i plan to upgrade both the tanks to long range? (145L + 80L)
I will not be filling up the bigger tanks to full until i am really going bush, but i do a bit of city/suburbs driving and my full tank + subby (Default size) is not giving me even 700kms.

Would this also impact my plans to put in a steinbaur or DP chip? or give me an extra increase in power?

Cheers

Search Diesel Gas conversion. The conversion is a gas injection into your diesel injectors at the time of ignition and is designed to improve the ignition of the diesel which is fairly inefficient (80% at best) with the injection of LPG it is inclined to get closer to 95% ignition of fuel or better.

The increase of efficient ignition presents as better fuel economy along with more power! Happy days.

Your car will run without the injection at any time and you can turn it on and off according to when the LPG is available. Your retuning will not effect the LPG I don't think and your chip should be able to adapt to the LPG ignition.

As the LPG is about 15 or 20% of your fu usage they say you only need the little tank. If I fitted it then would be fitting the biggest tank I could fit so that I could use it over the desert crossing when the extra efficiency and power is most wanted.

Ps. The statistics above are off the top of my head and are to make the point only, do your research, there are a couple of different setups that have now been on the market for over 10 years and plenty of feedback now available.
