G'Day Lads and I assume the odd lass,

My name's Gazza, but that was taken, so I went with Recon. I live in Gisborne VIC just near the base of MT Macedon, some cracking country around here, so why not explore it properly I say.

I've recently found myself in possession of a 2007 GU 3.0 TD. She's in pretty good nick with 60k clicks on the clock, factory bullbar/sidebars, tow kit and snorkel (Walkabout model) She's also got a couple of inch lift.

I've had a Navara in the past, but haven't done a great deal of off road stuff, but after getting some decent recovery gear, I'm looking at joining a local 4WD club so I have some experienced peeps for the Missus and I to hit the trails with.

Whilst I'm not overly experienced with the off road stuff, I've got a fair bit of out door camping, survival, fishing and outdoors exp, so while I'm hitting you lot up for info, feel free to do the same.

See you on the forums.

Cheers,

Recon

Cheers, lads!

Truth be told I can't really call myself a Victorian, I'm not really sure what I am these days. I grew up in NSW, Moved to Vic in my late teens, lived up in Bundaberg with work for a few years and then moved back to VIC. I guess I'm just your run of the mill Bastard...

Once again, thanks lads. There is so much info on here, I reckon my biggest prob is finding it. It's fair to say though that is the main problem of forums. It's really hard to categorise info in this format.

Never fear though, I shall crack on and endeavor to fill my proverbial boots with the info I crave.

As a wise man once said, "start at the beginning idiot!"

Cheers.
