Hey mate we like people to head to the introduction section first mate and say g'day.

Just like walking I to any room mate, say g'day and people will happily welcome you and give every assistance they can.

Please head over and start an intro thread.

Re your question. :- yes but..... You will need to trim the back of the front guards at a minimum and depending on your lift, rim offset, rear trailing arm length, front caster setup they will scrub to crap all over the joint!

Not withstanding that, what motor do you have? What diff ratios, any gear box crawler gears? Why do you want 38.5! Can you turn them?

Yeah they will. Even take your body lift out if you want. Trim when it scrubs. Want a decent offset rim with tyred that wide tho.

More misinformation from you mate. 33s are the largest legal.

Oh so you mod a truck throw on 35s or 38s and hope you don't get caught

Yeah thats pretty much it. Been pulled over with 35s and no flares and nothing was said. Mines not a Dailey anymore so not so worried. It will be drivin on the road tho. With beadlocks and 36s.

Correct. You are running a gauntlet with big tyres, just like big lifts and lights on the roof.

Yeah big lift and lights are a no go. Way to much attention. As low as you can with the size rubber you want. And dont drive it around muddy and ratty all the time haha.

Nothing more to say on that, no insurance then as well

It is a huge risk but where i live every second car has 35s or bigger. I really do want to get mine engineered but until then ill run the gauntlet and drive it from home to the bush.

While a little expensive having 2 sets of tyres can be a positive. You can drive around on 33's (walking the line of legalities) and have a vehicle that has close to the braking capacity and handling of the standard setup, then when your out bush swap them over. Big tyres are great offroad but aren't the most pleasant things to drive on road.

Also the OP was a little vague for all we know this could be a comp rig that gets trailered everywhere.
