Hi Everyone,
I have joined your forum to get some ideas and to help my son who will also be joining your forum soon.
I have had two Patrols over the past 15 years and worst luck in 2007 bought a new Navara ST-X 2.5 Turbo Intercooled, (Boo Hoo). Its on the list of things to do very soon and that is to get rid of it and get my but back into a Patrol. My first was a 1998 Y61 2.8lt Turbo Diesel, this was exactly the same as the vehicle my son has now. Second was a 2002 Y61 3lt Turbo Diesel, let me say how great it was to own these 4x4's. Not a problem in the world, good solid reliable and economical vehicles (Don't get me started on the Navara as I could be here for days with the crap I've had to put up with).
Anyhow, I,ve just fully rebuilt the 2.8lt in the sons car and all going well will put it back in tonight and flick the key to see what happens. I've worked on a lot of petrol engines over the years and at the beginning was a little fearfull of the mighty 2.8 diesel but as the project progressed I have managed to pick up quite a lot of valuable information on these things and now have thoughts about picking up a 4.2lt and doing the same.
I love the look of the web site and have already seen some great products that I would like to purchase along with some great advice on different things. From my first few experiences with the forum I think it's definately a winner and very glad to be on board.
Cheers from Ronniey61
