I'm having problems with my old truck starting cold. It's like the glow plugs need replacing. It just cranks over and over. The heaps of white smoke comes out. Once warm it's perfect! It's got new glow plugs, I tested them with the multi metre and they seem fine. There is power getting to them too. So what's my next thing to look at? Any ideas would be great.

Cheers
Joey

I think there is a fuel pump mod for this motor, try searching
and see what you come up with.

I'm guessing your talking about the plate on the side of the pump to advance the timing? I've done that already, improved the warm start 100%, but now it's cold start. So I'm thinking glow plug issue of some type.
Thanks anyway :)

check the glow relay, next tot the battery. You can listen or feel if it clicks when turning switch.
