Hi all, some of you I have met over the last couple of years camping around South East Queensland. Well the time has come and I have traded in the BT50 and bought a GU Patrol.

Series 9 came with a Queenslander Pack - Steel bullbar, IPF lights, Towbar, rubber floor mats, bonnet protector.

Added window tint, snorkel, and electronic rust proofing.

Next will be dual battery system before our first trip away.

Look forward to catching up.

Cheers

Yeah ... very "pretty".

Just what the four wheel driving world needs - another pretender with a shiny truck that sees more dirt on the owners driveway than in the bush ...

Do you think driving a BT50 in some way means you'll be able to handle a patrol?? Should have gotten a Prado or something that is more akin to parking in the bitumen carpark and walking to the beach than actually driving onto it ...

Infuriates me ...

Oh, welcome aboard I guess ...

By the way, you and Tash coming down this weekend?? LMFAO!! I want to smell that new interior!!! lol

Thnaks for the warm welcome Bigrig. Always the gentleman.

Would love to let you smell the inside however I won't be able to get your stink out of it.

You would think after 30 years I would be used to it.

Hey m8, welcome aboard.
I myself just brought a series 9 Y61. Does your also make a grind noise doing a hard righthand turn in the left wheel?
I only notice it as I'm looking for it

Hi Locksmith. Haven't noticed yet. Will have a listen for it today.

Finding the gear box a little hard at times trying to put into gear. I assume as it is new it will loosen up? Only done 700km.

Hi Steve, cheers mate. Getting 70,000 Km service today.

Went camping there on Saturday. Windy as all hell, tried fishing but was crap. A lot of sand up there at the moment. Really need to be driving at low tide or it is a hard slog.

How've you been? Been on any of the islands yourself much lately?

70k, still no dramas ?

Any of the lagoons flowing out to sea ?

Ive been very slack mate, since Moreton early this year, only done a couple of day trips to Bribie, not like me at all, but had heaps of other stuff to sort out before any pleasure trips.

No dramas, runs well. Need to stop buying bits and pieces.

Not flowing. Last time we saw them flowing was after the 1st May storms. We went there the next day on the Saturday and they were flowing pretty quick.

Will keep an eye out, may bump in again on some beach somewhere.
