Sounds like it has a lot of rust, I guess that is normal over there.

Looks good. Watch out for rust though. You'd know more about rust over there than I though I reckon.
Fit a new exhaust that is Bigger than that thing he just bolted too it. Sort out the rust, bolt a turbo to it and that will be a great jigger!
Good price. The rebuild of the injector pump for £300 is cheap as! That's a $1500 minimum job here!
Good luck. You should view the car before you buy though as some of that welding is a bit dodgy and a couple of things he listed would not pass inspection here.
Cheers MR

Cheers guys, may give him a call and go have a look.
And yes, rust is pretty much the norm over here. Some of the welding does not look brilliant, but that can be sorted easily enough. As long as he gives me the OK to have a real good prod around then that will be cool.
All the wings (1/4 panels....:)...) look buggered.

ade im not keen on that one looks like to much rust for me that's a lot of work then there will be more, on the other hand you can tell him to jam his useless number plates and take a 1000 off the price could be worth goin with then.

I like your thinking mate, I would tell him to keep his roofrack as well, soon get him down to £1000................
Problem is the engine and gearbox will sell the car, everybody wants them and most go for export, cos we are a small country, they don`t rack the high mileages up.
Anyway, had a think about it on the way home and I reckon your right, would end up being a full rebuild. Think i`ll be patient and see if a Y61 4.2 comes along. They are rare as rocking horse crap over here, though Land Cuisers are easy to get.

Well he said he was open to offers, how about 1k, see what he says.
Sounds like a fair bit of rust though, front wings you can replace easy enough if you can get the parts from a scrappy. Rear quarters a bit more difficult. If there's rust round the gutters then a shed load more work and even more if there's rust in the foot wells but that should have been picked up in the mot.
Best of both worlds s with that motor and auto box though........ ever thought of getting it and sticking it in your current troll? ;)

Tapping on the Tab via MCYes, that is the plan, last deal fell through.
Also, without causing an argument, after having a Y61, I don`t think I would like to use a Y60 as a daily driver.

Its a shame it had passed the mot really, it would have been worth it just to grab the motor and auto, then broke it down and sold off all the other bits.

Ooooh, low blow, but revenge is better served on a cold plate,me old mukka.
I`ll just hang out for a Y61 4.2. There is one for sale and I had first refusal, but it is a shorty,I need a long wheel base model. The shorty was too good to break as well.
