Seems nobody on this side of the world makes them.I could get hilux ones for £30 each, but it appears that nobody makes pattern wings for my rusty old patrol.

The steel bit that starts at the bumper,goes to the front door and up to the bonnet.Usually has that stupid plastic flare on it.Hope that makes sense, or your really gonna take the michael.

Now that all depends on what you mean by available?????? If you mean aftermarket, then I don't think so. You either go to the wreckers, or pinch someone else's ........... or depending on the age and if you take out a second mortgage you could go to Nissan, or maybe you could try Patrolapart or nizzbits.

By the way I still call it a front wing lol

There is a couple listed under "GU Guard" but only private sellers and not sure they would ship international.

Doesn't just happen in the UK bud, you should check out Healy's quarter chop thread, his rear quarters were a right mess under the plastic,........ so might be an idea for you to check yours out too, if you haven't seen his thread, I'll see if I can track it down for yoy

Mine is just the wings, front and rear ,under the plastic trim. Chassis is sound,it has been regularly waxoyled. Waxoyl is a gooey,tar/oil mix that stops rust happening.

Yeah its not good, was quite surprised at how bad the rust could get over here....... OK he's a fair way away by a couple of thousand Ks 's or so in a wtetter part or of the land but even so.......... is suppose that one good thing about the old GQs, there's no plastic to hide the rust lol

GQ`s are going for mental money over here ,especially the 4.2 diesels.I think they are being exported.There are a few 4.2 petrols at reasonable money though.

The Q's arent that cheap over here either....... yes of course you can get a cheap arse piece of crap but for a good 4.2 petrol you're looking at around $7K+...... for a 4.2 diesel around the 9K and above mark.......... year 2000 4.5 GU petrols I've seen for as low as 8k and they have around 250+ ks n the clock

I would say that the front quarter panels 'wings' from the wreckers would be around $250 Aus per side, plus freight .....

Not sure if that will work in your favour or not, as I don't think you would get much less than $400 for freight to get them to you, as they are bulky, and you would want to pack them in such a way that they don't get damaged in transit.

IMO if you are handy with the welder and grinder that would be your cheapest option. Unless you find some from a wrecker over your way mate.

They are rear light protecters mate, the lights are mounted in the bumper on european patrols. I will take a pic of my rear end today for you...........:smile:

Mate, that has got a plan forming in my brain. Bull bars cost a fortune over here for example and you know what freight would be just for your recovery points. If I got enough gear it could be viable getting it shipped over,time for some internet searching.

Currently I have removed the drivers side plastic trim, cut all the rust off and made some brackets to attach the wheel arch liner,it is ok but not a permanant fix.

Edit.......yes, currently 1.5 AUD to the £

there was a guy a used to get parts from off UK eBay - Nissan1 I think his business name was - he is a wrecker (Breaker)and he had a fair few of them - Y60 & Y61's - in the Midlands I think from memory

in Aust there was NO model designation for the Patrol, so after the G60 came the Y160, they were called MQ, then the Y162 = MK, then the Y60 = GQ then Y61 = GU.
the Patrol Y61 GR (Grand Road) is similar spec to our Patrol GU TI - - - Leather interior and all the goodie

Rated to 3500 as far as I know. The balls are not really interchangeable,you can change the whole one piece neck if you need a drop hitch or similar.
