hey guys,
Looking at buying a 2003 4.2ti,have previously owned a 03 4.8lt however i couldnt afford too move it!!
My questions are just reguarding the motor,have they ever had any big issuse with them?and whats the fuel aconomy like,cant be as bad as 26lt/100 lol!!??
its a 1 owner,done 166000klm.

They are the pick of the motors in that era....

At 166,000, it is barely run in.

Fuel will be between 13 - 15 Litres per Hundred.

The only thing to consider for you, is that they are 5K Servicing..... Oil and Filters only at 5K, main services at 10K.

Yeah it will only be a weekend car so the servicing side of things doesn't stress me too much,that's what I've been hearing,13l/100..anyone out there know what there like running 35s?fuel economy and gearing etc??
