Audio units

Morning all, I think this topic has been lightly touched on before but currently on ebay there are several 2012 model Audio units for sale which would be an awesome upgrade for the old model that I have.. I know it will fit, but will the plugs from old to new line up or will it have to be rewired? And if so will all of the functions work?

This topic has been covered many times for various models.

Generally you will need to hard wire or find the appropriate Aerpro plug and play harness and an Aerial Adapter from Nissan OEM 2 pin style to genereric plug, you will end up with an extra lead that will just hang there.

In regards to steering wheel controls, some will be plug and play, others will need to tap into existing SWC control wire or you will need to purchase an aftermarket IR (infra-red) control box and have it tuned to the right frequency for it to operate.
