It's worth the trip already,
Dropped the wagon off at the workshop and the guys explained exactly what they will do and come back at about 2pm,
Walked into town and found a great little shop and just ordered the Berrima Big Aussie Brekky,
The Hotel is not open yet but will venture in there for lunch,

Cheers

Well i'm back,
This is what they did,
1. Remove, injectors, test, dismantle, clean & inspect nozzles.
2. Install 6 new nozzles.
3.Inspect needle lift.
4.Buff intermediate plates.
5.Shim to matching & correct cracking pressures.
6.Re assemble, test & calibrate injectors.
7.Adjust valve clearances.
8.Adjust injection timing & automatic advance operation.
9.Adjust injection pump transfer pressure, fuel loadings & governor control.
10.Installed new delphi fuel filter with glass bottom.
11.Flush fuel lines to fuel tank & test flow rate & restriction level.

Only did the 200km trip on the highway home last night,
Definately better in all the gears with more punch especially 4th gear, goes a shipload better,
But remember its still a 3 tonne 4wd not a V8 commodore,

Heading up the Cape in 2 weeks for a month, so we will see how it goes then fuel economy & all.

Cheers

Tonks.

That's a fair list. And a good outcome. Hopefully they continue to rebuild.

Sounds good Tonks, all ready for your trip. Should run as good as it can now.

Did they dyno your car?

How light is the pocket?

Should get mine done, with them losing the ability to trade I might never get it done.

After driving it now for a couple of days, it sure does go a lot better even the young 11 year old son said Dad i can even tell the difference.

I did get a dyno & if you tell how to get it on this page i will.

And yes it was not a cheap service but the only thing that is cheap this day & age is chinese TV's , it cost $ 1500 which if it goes a shipload better & also better fuel economy which i will know after the trip it is well worth it,

Cheers

If you have a scanner, just scan it as a jpg and upload it to the forum, you could probable take a pic on your phone with it but more than like won't turn out to good. Or you could just give it to your son as I'm sure he knows how to do it *L*

Hi Tonks,

Just wondering what the fuel economy was like before & after?
We are thinking of taking it there, because of fuel economy problems

Thanks
Alisa
