hidden plug in the engine bay

HI guys I have a nissan patrol (ford Maverick) 92 4.2 petrol. I have just changed my battery and found a plug next to the battery that is hidden in the panel work. This plug is currently un pluged does anyone know what the plug is for? Its appears to be part of the wiring loom and does it need to be pluged together?

It's probably meant to be not connected to anything.. Can you take a photo?

Nissan use the same loom for all cars in most cases and it will be for an accessory that your car does not have.

Don't worry about it mate your car will be full of them.

If you don't have electric window then you will likely find that the loom for the electric motors are in the doors too ;)

thats probaly the case MR but it has both ends of the connectors there which seams odd. I have central locking and power windows.

Oh that's a bit different. You will find plugs all over the place but generally without a mate. If there is a matching plug then there is a very good chance that it does something.

Back to option 1, take a pic and post it up. Include the colour of the wires and someone will be able to help you out mate.

I will take a photo and put it up here tomorrow night and all the wire colours as well. It the first time that I have ever seen it
