Tires!

Hey guys,
So im looking at new tires for my gu and im summing up between the kumho muddys 35 x 12.5 x 15 and the maxxis bighorns MT 35 x 12.5 x 15. Has anyone had experience with these tires? good or bad?

I've had the maxxis and cut 3 side walls in less than 3 months bad luck maybe but havnt had that issue with any other wheel I'd take the kumho over bighorns from my experience

I have run Kumho KL71s in a 285/75r16 for the last 3 years and been pretty happy with them. Need to keep up the rotation tough and being directional you will have to pay at some point to have them stripped and flipped on the rims to achieve full rotation from side to side.

If you up for new rubber why on earth would you go to 15s on a GU though? Rims are cheap as chips mate. The extra clearance around the brakes using 16s in the mud is a big difference.

If your hard set on 35's why not get some 315/75r16 they are 34.60" x 12.40"

Theres another thread somewhere with great prices on Muddies up to 315 on selected brands,
only $350 for 315s have a search, plenty of sizes

I actually never thought of that "mudrunner". Might have to look into that, sounds like a better option
