Is there an after market or otherwise thingy to put in the bonnet scoop?
My intercooler is getting hammered by bugs

You could fit some fly wire over the intercooler, make it easy to take off for cleaning.

super cheap have dimond mesh that people put in their grills
you can use that about $20

I have a larger scoop about 70mm opening, don't seem to get many bugs or stone strikes.
At one stage did put perforated sheet steel across opening, but thought it was restricting air flow

Nah standard, just noticing dents appearing in intercooler

Is it mounted right in the middle? 4.2 didn't come factory intercooled until late 03
