Guys, I got the rear barn door keeps seezing. The large one that carrys the spare wheel seems to be playing up. When you open it and go to close it the bottom latch that releases the door closes again and when you try to close the door it hits the lock because its closed. You need to force it open with a screw driver and close the door for it to work. Any ideas? What's that part called?

First up, try and clean and lubricate the lock with a WD40 type of product.
To be honest, it sounds like the latch spring in the lower lock has snapped, with the door open, put your screwdriver in the lower latch again, and see if the locking arm part of the latch can just float around.
The spring on the latch shaft keeps the latch arm up out of the way when the door is open , when the spring is broken, the latch arm falls down by itself (under gravity), and now can't locate properly when you shut the door, and will do exactly as you describe.
Sounds like a new lower door lock will be in order.

Hey mate, the spring is still there just won't stay open, sometimes it's ok but other times you need to force it back with a screw driver. If I remove the lock and give it a good clean, you think it will fix it? I've tryed wd40 lots of times and works good for a day or two and back to jamming. If I need a new lock, what's it called?
