Winch cradle

Hi All

Just wanted to know what everyone's thoughts were of a winch cradle behind a genuine alloy nissan bullbar?

I seen one a fair while back but never took much notice.
I had a winch cradle given to me but have never put it on.
Still tossing up whether or not to get a new bar or mutilate my alloy bar.
You'd need to cut out the grilled part of the bar out for the fair lead and cut a hole on top of the bar to get to the engage lever.
I don't think there's too much to worry about, although it is only alloy but none of the winch has any pressure on the bar.
Like I said, I got a cradle but I'm still not sure.
