Howdy, been lurking around your great site for a while now and thought it was about time I said thanks for the information on it :)

anyfin is my site name, Doug in real time, 53yrs old, married, 2 kids, 18/19.

Into fishing and bike riding.

Purchased a 2002 , 3ltr Patrol in 2004 to tow the boat and bike trailer (push bikes) it had 52k on it then, it now has 212ks on it.

Best vehicle I ever purchased.

Previous owner had a fuel pump go at 36k, I had the oil leak at the front of the motor at 86k, did the injectors at 191k, exhaust manifold at 200k and there is now a slight crack in the transfer case that will need to be looked at at the next service.

I have just had fitted a boost gauge, Exhaust Temp gauge and dual battery gauge on a pod and now need to work out how to read them for my truck.

I would like to fit a 3" exhaust in the future and hi flow the turbo :)

I have not done any real 4wd at this stage and dont see myself going this way in the future, the truck was purchased as a tow vehicle.

Having said that we have just got back from an 8500klm trip with a Off road camper trailer through Roxby Downs, Lake Eyre South, Williams Creek, Coober Pedy, Uluru, Kings Canyon, Palm Valley, West McDonald Ranges, Alice, East McDonald Ranges, Ross River Station, Devils Marbles, Diamintina Lakes, Birdsville, Big Red, Marre, Flinders Rangers and home. Excellent, big country.

Time to go fishing,

Ok , that's me,

anyfin

Hi Doug and welcome Never had a bad days fishing yet, Good to see you have guages fitted, Rule of thumb is 10psi at 2000rpm.
A bigger exhaust will/may cause your Patrol to go into limp mode, might be worth while getting
a catch can fitted and Dawes and Needle valve ready. Maf sensors play up now and then but spray regularly with SCA maf sensor cleaner.
Anyway jump in anytime and enjoy
