2.8PWR

Hi, this is my first thread and I've just joined the forum.
For a little while now I've had a little problem with my 2.8 in my GU. Every now and again (when the engine is warm) when I'm travelling about 80kph at around 2100rpm, the engine develops a miss and sounds like its only got 2 cylinders firing. The power level drops considerably and i need to come off the pedal and push it back down to make it come alive again. I already know it's got nothing to do with the engine itsself, because that was replaced after Mr. Harmonic balancer decided he did'nt want to know me anymore. The same fuel system was refitted to the engine and it still had the problem after the job was completed.
Has anyone experienced this issue before? More importantly, has anyone ever fixed a similar issue?
Cheers,
Tom.
