So I had my GQ booked in for 7:30am this morning to go get a snorkel fitted, new carby etc .... went out last night to get my camping gear out of it before the service .... it wasn't there.
It was in on-street parking in South Melbourne and hadn't driven it yet this week so might have been missing for a couple of days.
Really safe n'hood too, the police were really surprised when I explained where it was stolen from.

Can't believe that in the week we start working on the car, sign up to the forum, planning a Queen's Bday 4WDing trip, my poor GQ gets stolen :(

Wish they'd taken my other car lol :S

Here's a pic .. fingers crossed it's found, I love this car even though I've only had it 3 months and had so many plans for it, definitely don't want a replacement :(

Sorry to hear the news. That is so wrong. I was brought up that if it wasn't yours, you didn't touch it.

All the best finding your pride and joy.

F%$#KING Scum doing this C%^P . Anything stand out on your 4x4, guys going to Tallarook soon ,Sometimes you find stripped 4x4 there.
I'll keep my eyes oen, been a bit of this shite lately, feel for you bro, chin up

Can you explain where it was parked again please

No damage but pretty average paint job (rusty spots on the bonnet), it's got a black cover for the spare which says 4x4 in big white letters, and it's got a little Narva sticker on the back side window .... Narva spotties on the front sit in an unusual place (right next to the headlights) because I liked the grill and the big NISSAN letters and didn't wanna cover it up hehe ...

thanks for the support all .. even rang traffic infringements in case it's been hooning around but there was nothing, also tried the council to see if it was towed for some reason but they haven't got it ... argh.

thanks a lot for your messages all.

It went missing from St Vincent Place South, in South Melbourne - right near the corner with Ferrars St.

My neighbour just came round to tell me some bloke was standing at the end of my driveway having a big look down my drive.. when he pulled up the bloke pretended to be on the phone.

When my neighbour came back out from the side gate to get a good look and see his roge the bloke took off... driving a black short wheel base.... Caarrrnnnssss!!!!!!!!

How do the trackers work? Can they be used for other emergencies, such as crashes and stuff?

RubberDuckieGQ

Yep sounds like a tracker is the way to go!!!

So worried my poor GQ is in pieces already. But not going to jinx its safe return by looking for another one for a while! Fingers crossed ...

What a PITA, good luck in finding it in a state that you want.Bloody mongrels.

A nieghbour might have a camera, have you asked around?

Fairgo BloodyAussie, I hope you have locked a big dog to yours, sounds very sus.

My 4 legged alarm system lets me know if someone is in our yard, up to now its been plovers, possums, cats, even Jahova Witness etc. He dont like those JW for some reason.

Ha yeah that is exactly what we were saying last night, who are these people and how do they live?!?! Thinking they're entitled to someone else's truck?!

But yeah I'm currently in an apartment, on street parking only, was always saying how i wish i had a nice driveway/carport for the Patrol, much safer + would make it easier to work on. Faarrkkk.

Most dogs are a good deterrent I reckon, doesn't matter if it's just a little one .. long as it's got a nice loud bark :)
