Hi guys and girls, found a crack in the flooring under the drivers passenger seat

Looks like a plate for the front bolt closest to the door that hold the back seat in.

I have a body lift and have heard of body lift causing cracking but assumed that any cracking from the body lift would happen around the lift.

Has anyone else experienced cracking in this spot

29652 29653

Can't really see the crack itself in the pics and the motor oil there doesn't help ( don't ask ) but is the reason I found the crack

Cheers

Todd

wont be caused by a Body Lift. when the body lift causes a crack its generally around a mount block. My two rear mounts actually punched through the floor pan!!!

go to an exhaust joint and ask them to dab a bit of weld on it for you. Roll back the carpet before it goes on the hoist though.

Thanks Darren, didn't think it was caused from the body lift..........mmm wonder what caused it

I have seen cracking continue after welding, so it might pay to drill a small hole at each end of the cracks beforehand.

Tend to agree with Darren is that captive nut OE

Agree with stop drilling at the end of the cracks. If you can use some fine sandpaper rolled up to smooth the hole afterwards that would be perfect. Then weld to close it all up.

Onlly saying that as constant rocking over its life may be the cause.
I removed that seat behind the driver in favour of my Engel.

Is that crack through a weld or next to one
