I bought one!

Hi all, after snooping this forum for a while I finally bought a 2004 GU Patrol ute. Took a little while to decide, but the forum helped a lot. It's a 4.2 turbo inter cooled leaf rear ute. It has only done 120,000km but is very rough having lived its life on a remote Aboriginal community. So I will be spending a bit on trim & etc, also on the hunt for a Telstra pod to replace the tray. Will be asking questions in the near future to get hints and ideas for my new project.

from what i know of these cars from working at a government auction is strip it take all the interior out and i mean everything and start cleaning then service

Thanks for the welcome. I am hoping to buy an ex Telstra pod and get rid of the tray. Will keep you posted how that goes. Found another GU ute today got some spare parts. Doors, seats, glovebox, headlight and lots of small bits and pieces. Might go back for the guards and gearbox top. The price was right too.....free!
