I currently have no lift on my troll, more likely sag as the shocks and springs are old
planning on doing a 2inch lift some time soon when the dollars come in
what I am wanting to do for now is get a set of 15x8 rims and put 33s on them , again $ is the the limiting factor
there is a mob in penrith sydney that offer 15x8 rims with 31 retreads on them at $175 per rim and tyre, 6 month warranty and rated to 120km/hr (which I rarely travel at) I am more worried that they would let me down on the ruff stuff where you need the most
Also off set , from what I have read a 22 neg off set is the way to go ,
what do people think

Yep neg 22 is the way to go but from my experience get your lift in first if you can otherwise you'll damage your panels if you try and flex it over ruts. I tore off one of my fairings on the beach with 33x12.5x15 on my gq ute because of sagged springs. Got my lift and now no scrubbing at all

Just my 2 cents , if your suspension is shot do that first , then keep a eye out for a second hand tyre and wheel package if the $$ are tight , as retreads could be a unknown quality

X 2 with Gaddy stay away from retreads or re moulded tyres, its a safety thing in my eyes.
You can get 50% worn tyres cheap, maybe 2 years wheeling at a lower cost, but I'd be
staying away from the re treads, they delaminate, low speed rating, nah not for me.

I have had a re-tread delaminate at 100kph before, was not a fun experience and the tread flicked up and smashed the indicator and dented the guard.
Would never drive anything with re-treads again.

I didn't think we made them in Aus any longer.

Whilst I highly recommend staying away from retreads as explained above but I am bloody amazed by how long my Mongrel 33" retreads have performed to date as I have now thrown them on my "other" 4wd after 2 years of abuse and trips interstate, etc but I personally wouldn't go out of my way to purchase them with fear of delaminating of course.

Those are reMOULDS though.... Bead to bead. Not ideal but far better than retreads!

I may have to go for Remoulds on another set of rims, because of price. I've had remoulds on a falcon, but being young and stupid I gave the car heaps of curry, and ended up causing all four tyres to bubble/ bulge within a couple of months. Shouldn't be a problem in the Old Trol, because I'm just old and stupid now.
