I have been through the existing threads re; installing speakers in the front doors of the GQ but cant find the answers I need so have to open it up once again .
I Removed the shitty old original clarions from the front doors and found that the new 6" ones are too deep (6" removed )...normally I would just use a spacer or the like and have them on the interior side of the door panel...
but my interior is Ti and I would have to prostitute the protruding panel for the speaker grill and the power windows switches..which I dont want to do at all...I have contacted pioneer etc about slim line speakers etc and not available ...does anyone know of any sort of good quality slimline speakers that can be used ( 35mm overall depth)..or has anyone got around this without cutting up the Ti door cards ....any sort of spacer being hard or rubber just seems to hold the door card out from clipping in properly....cheers menace
