Hi all , got the GU TD42's injector pump done up after the wombat in thomastown stuffed up on the Dyno and tun up , at the same time got the diesel specialist to overhaul the injectors .
Daval diesel repaired the pump and got the adjustments back to standard but found the engine running on when I hit the kill switch .
After having a chat to to him about it he said the cut off solenoid in the pump needs to be replaced , so I replaced it but it still runs on intermittently mostly first thing in the morning .
Had thoughts it might be pressure in the tank breather lines holding the pump open some how but after running it and shut down then remove the fuel cap it doesnt have any pressure so kinda at a loss to what it might be , anyone have any other thoughts to what it could be ?

Could possible be a blocked return line. That would be holding pressure in the pump without pressurising the tank

What are fuel figures like?

Hey Kallen
Haven't got any figures on the fuel never had to check any on a diesel before , only ever done Efi with elec pump and they run up to a couple of bar on the gauge so I'm guessing the return line on a diesel should be zero .

Do you know what the timing is set at? Check the ignition barrel sometimes the contacts can get a little sticky.

I checked the timing twice and then also ran it down their and got the the diesel joint to check it again just in case got it wrong but that was spot on , Surley it's not a shity injector guess if it was the then would be knocking

Check to see if there is any power still getting to the solenoid after you have switched the ignition off.

I think i checked the supply to the pump solenoid when it first started happening cause it seemed a little sus that it all started after he reset the pump and cleaned the injectors for me ,
So you have the thought that its the pump , just along the line of the return line being blocked does it have some sort of a one way valve or something near the tank plus being a truck with duel tanks it should only return to the main only ?
