I want to paint the two plastic halves which cover the steering column on my U. I have fitted my noo black leather steering wheel, and now there is this ugly poo brown in between the black wheel and the black surround on the dash.

So you think I could just use a good quality satin black? Or use that vinyl spray stuff?

Cheers.

You need to give it a light scuff with a fine scotch bright and spray it with plastic primer then you can use bumper and trim satin black ( I'm pretty sure you can get it in a pressure pack) BUT if its had armor all on it your gona have to wash it down with degreaser good and proper. You'll also need some wax and grease remover to wipe it down before the plastic primer.

You wanna get a water based degreaser, supershizen should have motorspray plastic primer and possibly the bumper and trim paint but not sure about the fine scotch bright. You want the RED scotch bright, and you should wet rub the plastic so it doesn't show the swirl marks when the paint shrinks back. I know Bursons, Bayford paint section on the hume, The body shop off northgate drive and Paintworks on barry rd cambellfield will definitely have them coz i've bought them from those shops when i've done panel beating on my cars. If you want addresses i can get them for you tomorrow Mark??
